Absolutely! I still stayed in my urban, high poverty school system and sometimes there’s some condescension of people who move to the suburbs or more cushy school districts, or even some of the magnet schools within our own district. It’s so hard when all the incentive structures around your evaluation and school performance move you in that direction as well. IEP chair land certainly has its stressors for public schools! But it’s a lot more mundane I guess — my job is to stop kids from going to private separate day schools, for the most part!
