Great article man! I like to think that your passion is in the every day, even if there are parts you have to get through just to get paid. Dive into what brings you joy!

Anyways, always a big fan but the karate part of this one really resonates with me. I used to focus my whole identity on how I performed as a runner. I used to obsess and fixate over it. And it always bought me so much anxiety before a race where I was wishing for it to be canceled or shame when I underperformed.

I always found all this pressure to race well that took the joy out of actual running. The ikigai there was the relationships I made through running and the lifelong friends.
