Hey Barry Davret, I’ve been following Kipchoge for more than 10 years now. He’s one of my favorite athletes, but this marathon still won’t count because of the race track course and the alternating pacers. I still think his Berlin Marathon was the greatest of all time. And also, if he can do it, Bekele can too with the same conditions. I wrote about Kipchoge’s journey here. I was so happy that he found so much success in the marathon — especially given his struggles at the 5k being overshadowed by the greatest runners ever, like Bekele and El Guerrouj.
