Thank you for your comment and thoughtful post. I have talked through the protests and BLM with my students, at my Baltimore City school that is all-Black with the exception of three kids. They have experience that have broken my heart with regard to how they've been treated in the past by law enforcement, and in no way do I want to minimize BLM.

I just wanted to make the point here that oppression shouldn't be treated like it's a competition and I do believe justice for Black Americans should be the priority right now, but that it shouldn't come at the expense of minimizing the experiences, discrimination, and history of Jewish-Americans either. I think it was just a very confusing time for everyone who followed the whole NFL episode.
