Hi Brigita,

Much agreed. Last Zoom session I made, it required a password. Teachers should take the utmost security precautions. In addition, as a younger teacher, I love all of my colleagues, but a lot of them are behind on technology and have trouble navigating online tools, which has made out transition a bit difficult.

I’m somewhat disillusioned about how sometimes, the world of education is more about compliance than, well, actually teaching and making sure students learn. So as ruthless as the system can be, this article is just urging teachers to be wary of COOPA and FERPA regulations when communicating with minors.
