I live in Baltimore and believe the situation is more complex — but you can’t argue with the numbers. Freddie Grey was a large precursor to what many cities, including Minneapolis, Atlanta, and New York are going through now with homicides. People used to talk about Baltimore like it was a third world country — much to everyone’s chagrin. Now, the problems are more relatable across every city.
