But for a slew of reasons, it seems likely that Wheel won’t ascend to that same stratosphere. Not only has there been broad pushback from the fans of the books about “wokeness” in the adaptation and other deviations from the source more generally (some such criticisms deserved, some not), but facets of its narrative form, be it the predictable plotting or select character underutilizations, seem to have hamstrung Wheel where GOT got out of the gate with almost universal acclaim.
