I Went From An A to an A+ Student In Law School— Here’s What I Learned
This past semester, I took three law school classes. I got two A+’s in my law school classes. The other class was an A. In the past two years, I have been a law student at night, and have been in law school while working as a special education teacher during the day, and this semester raised my GPA significantly and gave me a much better standing in job recruitment than I was in before.
I am beyond happy with my accomplishments. For the past couple of years, I have been an evening law student while working during the day in special education. I have also been trying to run marathons and balance other commitments while trying to stay a good husband and friend. It has been very difficult to find balance the last couple of years while I have overwhelmed myself with commitments, but I have seemed to be doing a much better job this year than last year.
And yet I felt a sense of fear and dread after a brief ten minutes of celebration. Instead of celebrating my grades for the semester, I instead dove right into studying for my summer semester classes and agonizing over why I’m not as ahead in my readings and studying as I needed to be.
