It definitely happens. I don’t link any of my other pieces here but it’s usually the bio at the bottom that asks you to subscribe to a Patreon or newsletter. I think Medium started allowing 40 word or less CTAs but I’m not sure. I just try to stay on the conservative side, but in the Medium Facebook groups we all self promote to some extent!
