Shiela Dixon almost won for mayor again — twice! One of my friends calls her “Steala Dixon.” She was actually in the lead during our most recent primary until the mail in ballots were all counted. If you hear most people talk about her, she was a good mayor who got into trouble with corruption. I know many people who just liked the city better when was mayor. To some degree I respect that she hasn’t given up.
