So Michael, I’m a driver for both. Although they’re both companies, I’m somewhat disappointed by their failure to take realities of their drivers and main employees into account, much like Amazon does. I once drove a friend a couple miles to McDonald’s on Lyft. He paid $7.70, I made $3.75 from the ride.

It was the stark reality that Uber and Lyft are making a drastic amount of money from each ride, and it means that the companies are investing their money recklessly if it means they are losing money. It’s so bad that if a rider needs a ride later in the day, we arrange so we bypass Uber or Lyft so the rider pays less and the driver makes more.
