Thank you so much for the comment, Constance. They always pay lip service to self-care but actively fight against it. I don’t try to blame admin because I know how much pressure they’re under too, but I can’t imagine what your situation must have been like. Calling out even one day was so frowned upon sometimes and we never were able to get subs, so I would feel guilty on my one personal day this year that my colleagues would have to cover.
