Thanks for tagging me in this, James. You’re entitled to your opinions and it’s clear that I’m not changing your mind after you’ve publicly called me out as a homophobic pig numerous times. Here is the article that James is referencing where all of this allegedly happened:
The problem is that this assertion of facts is not true. I did not “insist” that you were a sinner, James. In fact, you aggressively commented, twice, on my writing to change my beliefs and change my article. My article didn’t even say homosexuality was a sin — it explicitly says it is not a sin, and expressed those beliefs as transparently as I could.
You took my words completely out of context. Looking through the comments you will see that I got a lot of flack for saying it wasn’t. No, I’m not a sinner because I’m Asian, I’m a sinner because I’m a human being. Every time I don’t give to the homeless, I sin. Every time I act like I’m better than someone, I sin. Because I’m a sinner, I’m not someone who can judge someone else and their sin. That is Christ to me and my theological framework.
Sure, call me a homophobic pig. But I’m also entitled to defend myself. I respect you and your writing still, even though you are trying to slander me very publicly for something I am not. I would like everyone to take a look at the piece, our conversation, and make their own interpretations of whether I am truly a homophobic pig.
By the way, you’re a white man trying to shame a person of color into thinking the exact same way as you, and trying to force me into an opinion. Think about that for a second. Why would you even mention that I could possibly be genetic inferior because of my race? Where is the virtue in that, and if I’m a homophobic pig, how are you not a racist bigot?
